1. Cleanse and prime the natural lashes to remove oil, makeup and debris, then let them dry fully.
2. Tape and map the eye, deciding where the longer lengths will sit before the first fan goes on.
3. Isolate a single natural lash cleanly and confirm no neighbouring lash is caught.
4. Pick the fan up at its base and dip the bonded point lightly, keeping adhesive off the fibres.
5. Place the base 0.5-1mm from the lid margin and hold briefly until it grabs, keeping the fan square to the lash.
6. Let the bond cure fully, then comb through with a clean spoolie to check the fans have stayed open.

• Using your usual adhesive dot — a promade base has less contact area than a hand-fanned one, so an unchanged dot shows up as premature shedding. Increase the dot slightly and coat the whole bonded point.
• Dipping too deep — soaking the fibres stiffens the fan and glues the tips together. Dip only the bonded base point.
• Defaulting to one curl — on flat or hooded lashes a tighter curl pokes forward. Read the growth angle and change curl rather than adjusting placement to compensate.
• Rushing isolation because the fans are light — a caught neighbour shows as a gap two weeks later. Isolate fully on every placement.
• Leaving the tray open on the station — dust and adhesive vapour settle on the fibres and make pick-up unreliable. Close the box between clients.

My 3D sets look darker but flatter than I expected — is that the fan or my mapping?

Usually mapping: density arrives early at this fibre count, so a single length through the middle reads as a wall rather than as texture. Step the lengths across the map and vary the curl slightly between layers so the light has something to catch.

Why do my fans close between pick-up and placement?

Either the dip is too deep or the tweezer is gripping above the bonded point and squeezing the fibres together. Grip at the base itself, and discard a fan that has already closed rather than trying to spread it open on the lash.

Is 0.07 too heavy for a client who normally wears classic extensions?

It depends on the natural lash rather than the diameter alone — a healthy medium lash usually carries it comfortably, while a fine or previously stressed lash does not. On those clients drop to a finer fibre at a higher count for the same visual density.

Can I mix this tray with other promade fans in the same set?

Yes, and it is a useful way to control weight and cost — but keep the two in separate zones rather than alternating lash by lash, because different base sizes show as uneven texture. Keep the curl consistent between the layers so they do not fight each other.

How should I adjust my adhesive when the room gets humid?

Humidity speeds the cure, so the base can set before the fan is fully seated, which reads as a weak bond a week later. Move to a slower adhesive with a longer working time rather than speeding up placement, and refresh the dot more often as it skins over.
