How high a fan count is realistic at 0.03?

Experienced artists build reliably into the low-to-mid teens by hand, and higher counts become a question of time rather than physics. The practical limit is usually how long the client can sit rather than what the diameter can support.

Why do my fans close when I dip them?

Because 0.03 wicks adhesive up into the fan far faster than coarser fibre, so a dip depth carried over from 0.05 or 0.07 floods it. Reduce the dip to the very base and refresh the glue dot more often, since a thickening dot grabs disproportionately more fibre.

Is 0.03 ever appropriate for classic work?

Rarely - a single 0.03 lash has too little presence to register as an extension, so a classic set at this diameter looks like nothing has been done. It is a volume-construction fibre, and using it as a classic wastes both the product and the appointment.

Can a client with damaged lashes wear a 0.03 mega-volume set?

Only if the lashes have genuinely recovered. Fine fibre reduces the load per fibre, but a high count on a compromised lash is still a load, and the safer option during recovery is a light classic or low-count hybrid set.

How do I stop fine fibre sticking together on the strip?

Store the tray closed and away from humidity, and lift with a light grip from the base rather than dragging along the line. Most sticking is either humidity in the tray or the artist pulling several fibres at once because the grip is too firm.
