How do I stop an 18D set reading as heavy when the fibre is so fine?

Perceived weight comes from silhouette rather than grams - a set that is uniformly long and strongly curled looks heavy no matter how light the fibre. Contour the length more aggressively and flatten the curl through the centre, and the same density will read as full rather than heavy.

What natural lash length is too short for an 18D fan?

If the extension is more than roughly a third longer than the natural lash carrying it, the leverage at the base becomes the limiting factor regardless of fibre weight. On short natural lashes, high density is fine but long extensions are not.

Is there a real difference between 18D and 20D in the finished set?
