Cleanse and prime the natural lashes to remove oil, makeup and debris, then let them dry fully.

My 8D sets look darker but flatter than I expected — is that the fan or my mapping?

Usually mapping: density arrives early at this fibre count, so a single length through the middle reads as a wall rather than as texture. Step the lengths across the map and vary the curl slightly between layers so the light has something to catch.

Why do my fans close between pick-up and placement?

Either the dip is too deep or the tweezer is gripping above the bonded point and squeezing the fibres together. Grip at the base itself, and discard a fan that has already closed rather than trying to spread it open on the lash.

How do I choose between 0.05 and a finer diameter for the same fibre count?

A 0.05 fan reads more defined and handles more predictably in the tweezer, while a finer fibre blends more softly and weighs less. Choose on the strength of the natural lash first, and on the look the client wants second.

Can I mix this tray with other promade fans in the same set?

Yes, and it is a useful way to control weight and cost — but keep the two in separate zones rather than alternating lash by lash, because different base sizes show as uneven texture. Keep the curl consistent between the layers so they do not fight each other.

How should I adjust my adhesive when the room gets humid?

Humidity speeds the cure, so the base can set before the fan is fully seated, which reads as a weak bond a week later. Move to a slower adhesive with a longer working time rather than speeding up placement, and refresh the dot more often as it skins over.
