    Product details

    • Trend/Popularity: Bright summer and festival lash work drives demand for warm, high-energy accent tones, and yellow is a staple of the sunflower, citrus and neon themes clients bring in during those seasons.
    • Ease & Speed: The colour arrives pre-fanned in the artist's usual specification, so a bright accent adds only placement time rather than requiring a different technique or a hand-tinted fan.
    • Income Opportunity: Seasonal bright colour promotions fill quieter summer weeks and give a studio a reason to contact dormant clients, with the accent itself supporting an easy upcharge at the chair.
    • Festival and summer campaign artists: Bright warm tones are the core of summer creative lash work.
    • Creative and editorial artists: Yellow reads strongly under studio lighting where it can be controlled.
    • Artists who map accents deliberately: This tone rewards planned placement and punishes scattering.
    • Studios building a colour range: A bright warm option that complements pink, purple and blue in a colour offering.

The construction detail that determines whether a bright warm tone works.

    • Soft yellow-lime pigmented pro-silk - Colour runs through the fibre, so the tone holds as the set grows out.
    • 0.07mm diameter - Pale warm tones need fibre width to register; at finer diameters yellow disappears.
    • 5D loose fan structure - Fans open on lift-out, spreading the colour so it catches light across the lash line.
    • Tiny light-glue-bonded base - Accent placements stay low-profile so the colour arrives without visible bulk.
    • Matte black base finish - Grounds a bright tone so it reads as designed colour rather than as costume.
    • C, CC and D curls - Accents can match the curl of the surrounding black fans exactly.
    • 9-15mm, 480-520 fans per box - Full accent working range with volume for seasonal campaigns.
    1. Cleanse and prime the natural lashes and tape the eye.
    2. Preview the fans against the client's lashes in daylight - yellow shifts more between light sources than any other accent tone.
    3. Map accent placements on both eyes, concentrating them where light reaches rather than spreading widely.
    4. Build the black base of the set first, leaving the marked lashes free.
    5. Isolate a single natural lash and dispense a slightly larger glue dot for the tiny base.
    6. Dip the base only - adhesive dulls a pale warm pigment noticeably.
    7. Place accents on the top layer, matching curl and length to the surrounding fans.
    8. Compare both eyes for symmetry before finishing, then cure fully.
    • Scattering yellow across the whole eye - it needs concentration to register, and spread thin it looks like discoloured lashes. Cluster deliberately.
    • Placing on the lower layer - a pale tone in shadow disappears entirely. Top layer only.
    • Assuming it will show like pink - yellow is one of the least visible accents against dark lashes. Adjust the count upward or concentrate the placement.
    • Adhesive on the fibre - dulls a pale pigment faster than a dark one. Keep dips shallow.
    • Skipping the daylight preview - yellow shifts dramatically between light sources and clients notice outside.

BRIGHT ACCENT COLOURS BY PLACEMENT STRATEGY

    • Visibility on dark lashes - Yellow (soft lime): Lower - needs light and concentration | Pink (neon): Highest | Blue (electric): Moderate - reads as depth
    • Best placement - Yellow (soft lime): Concentrated blocks where light reaches | Pink (neon): Scattered or blocked, both work | Blue (electric): Scattered through the top layer
    • Lighting sensitivity - Yellow (soft lime): Highest - shifts markedly | Pink (neon): Low | Blue (electric): Moderate
    • Typical season - Yellow (soft lime): Summer, festival | Pink (neon): Year-round, Valentine's | Blue (electric): Year-round, festival
    • Pairing - Yellow (soft lime): Works with orange for a citrus gradient | Pink (neon): Works with purple | Blue (electric): Works with purple
    • Client brief - Yellow (soft lime): Playful, bright, seasonal | Pink (neon): Bold statement | Blue (electric): Subtle dimension

Materials: PBT pro-silk fibre with yellow-lime pigment, bonded with a light cosmetic adhesive at the base. Vegan, latex-free and cruelty-free. Patch test new clients for adhesive sensitivity.

Yellow barely shows on my client - what am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing technical; yellow is genuinely one of the least visible accents against dark natural lashes because it lacks depth contrast. It needs concentration rather than scattering - a block of several adjacent placements on the top layer where light reaches will read where the same number spread across the eye will not.

Does yellow work better on light or dark natural lashes?

Neither is ideal on its own - on dark lashes it needs concentration to show, and on very light lashes it blends and softens rather than accenting. It works best placed directly beside black fans, so the contrast has an immediate reference point.

Can I combine yellow with another colour?

A yellow-to-orange citrus gradient through the outer third is the most reliable pairing, because the two share a warm family and the transition gives the yellow a reference tone that helps it read. Yellow next to a cool colour tends to look muddy rather than deliberate.

Why does the yellow look green in some lighting?

The tone carries a lime undertone, so under cool or fluorescent light it shifts toward green, while warm salon light pushes it toward true yellow. Previewing in daylight is essential with this colour specifically, since the shift is larger than with any other accent.

Is yellow worth stocking, or should I invest in another colour first?

It is a seasonal specialist rather than a core colour - most studios get more use from pink, purple and brown before yellow earns its place. If your client base includes festival, summer campaign or editorial work, it becomes worth carrying; otherwise it will sit.
