How do I know whether a client can carry 9D 0.05 rather than 7D?

Look at the natural lash under magnification for diameter and flex - a lash that visibly bends under a fan you are placing will not hold nine fibres plus a spike through a full cycle. Mixed density is a legitimate answer: 9D through the strong central band, 7D or classics elsewhere.

I am running out of natural lashes before the set looks finished - what went wrong?

Usually the map is fighting the density; with 9D you reach full coverage sooner, so continuing to place at a lower-density pace over-fills the inner section and leaves nothing for the outer corner. Plan placements per zone before you start rather than working continuously across the line.

Do the 21mm triples actually get used, or are they novelty lengths?

They are working lengths for outer-corner drama and editorial sets, not everyday use - on a typical client they would exceed safe length for the natural lash carrying them. Reserve them for strong lashes and short spans, and taper down quickly on either side.

How do I keep a dense wispy set from looking closed or heavy on hooded eyes?

Reduce the spike frequency through the centre and keep curl flatter where the lid overhangs, so the set opens outward rather than upward into the hood. On hooded eyes the drama should live in the outer third, not across the whole lid.

My infills on these look patchier than the original set - why?
